2015 has arrived!

Welcome to 2015, all my fellow connoisseurs of home!

I sincerely hope that everyone left 2014 in the rear view mirror safely and with no regrets. I had intentions of building a buffet table with Handy Hubby for my dining room last night, but alas, it just got too late, and we got too involved with the show we are watching on Netflix right now (just one more episode, pleeeeaaaasssssee!)

What do I typically do on New Year’s Day?

One of my favorite things to do on New Year’s Day is to watch the HGTV Dream Home premier. The network takes you through a detailed tour of a G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S home that they are giving away, along with cash and a pretty sweet vehicle…This year’s version is located in Martha’s Vineyard, and includes a 2015 GMC Acadia Denali and $250,000 cash. The professionals that work on these dream homes are very talented, and the homes always turn out extremely drool-worthy.

I’ve been entering the contest for years; it’s like the home version of the lottery. Oh well, one day maybe!

What’s on my agenda for 2015?

(This is strictly a wish list, at this point)

  • A master bathroom remodel and reveal
  • Finish up the little details in the downstairs of my home
  • A laundry room expansion/makeover
  • Lots and lots of curb appeal updates, landscaping, etc.
  • A dining room makeover reveal
  • More cooking and baking!
  • Have more dinner parties

Thank you all for taking this journey with me, I am very much looking forward to sharing my house projects in 2015!

The 2015 HGTV Dream Home premier is tonight at 8 p.m. EST. Enjoy!

Note: I did not receive any compensation from HGTV or anyone else for writing this post, it is simply something I legitimately love and enjoy. It would be phenomenal to one day have my existence recognized by HGTV! 🙂

About Emily

I love all things home, and am constantly rearranging furniture, DIY-ing, and starting remodel projects around the house (not always finishing!) I feel more at home in a hardware store than I do in a clothing store!
